A few years ago, after years of shooting eight hour, back breaking weddings, I hesitantly booked my first headshot session. I always thought headshots were really cheesy but decided, as I do, to try to put my own spin on things and see how I liked it. Days later, my client emailed me thrilled - he wanted to buy the entire gallery. While on vacation thousands of miles away, I was still profiting from this session and I was good at it! Since then, I have never looked back.

The way I do things has changed a bit since then - no galleries are ever delivered to clients - the sessions are proofed immediately after the shoot, their photos are chosen, paid for, retouched, and delivered the day of the session. But what remains the same is that for the last four years, I have been running a business that generates 95% of its income from solely headshots.

In general, there are two types of photography: retail photography and commercial photography. Retail photography is photography that is created for personal use for your clients. Commercial photography is when the photos that are created are intended to generate money for your client.

During this workshop, we will cover the ins and outs of commercial photography, how to create amazing headshots for your client, plus the thing that everyone dreads until they start doing it: In Person Proofing.

Over the past 15 years, we have stumbled, fallen, and gotten back up to give clients the best experience possible. 

Through workshops, online courses, in person trainings, and traditional education we have crafted a replicable client experience that has gained a reputation as OKC's most trusted headshot company.

Course Information:

This workshop is designed for individuals with a foundational understanding of photography and camera operation. It is not intended for beginners. Participants are expected to have at least a basic knowledge of how to use their cameras and adjust camera settings. We will limit this class to six individuals. The cost of this class is $400 per person.

Our Goal:

Our primary objective with this course is to empower you to become more confident and skilled in capturing headshots and commercial photography. Through immersive and hands-on experiences, we aim to elevate your photography capabilities, refine your understanding of lighting, posing, composition, and commercial licensing, and equip you with effective sales techniques.

By the end of this workshop, our hope is that you will leave with the confidence and expertise to excel in the world of headshot and commercial photography. We look forward to helping you achieve your photography goals and expand your creative horizons.
