Morgan & Micah | The Pointe Wedding | Oklahoma Wedding Photographer

Around six years ago, I shot one of my very first weddings. Kaylie was my one of my best childhood friends. (ahem.. note trendy, matte, vsco edit)

Last year, Kaylie’s sister, Morgan got engaged. Cue Ashley creeper mode. I may have stalked her Facebook until she finally contacted me about her wedding photos. Kaylie and Morgan’s family are near and dear to my heart and I was so excited not only to get to capture this special event for them, but to also be there to celebrate with them, too.

Morgan and Micah said their I dos at The Pointe in McAlester and the day could not have been more perfect. Sometimes things don’t go exactly how you had planned, and sometimes that’s just perfectly great. It rained. It was cold. I got a little lost and was a tiny bit late. And I lost Morgan’s wedding band for a good 45 minutes. (It was fine, it fell into the box of flowers). At the end of the night, these two were married and celebrated with their closest friends and family and there were tears and emotions and joy and happiness and it was glorious (and upon Morgan’s request: keep all the weird faces). <3

Holly & Ezra | Wildwood Wedding | Oklahoma Wedding Photographer

I’m not sure I’ve enjoyed a wedding more than I have this one. I honestly wasn’t quite ready to go home when I was off the clock and would have totally stayed to party with these AMAZING people if I hadn’t have been cranky and tired. These two were so excited to get married. Their friends were so excited for them to be married. Everyone was just so happy that Holly & Ezra were getting married. I might have maybe shed a tear or two but don’t tell anyone because I’m a bitter single lady in her thirties right now.

Brittney & Anthony | Wichita Mountains Elopement | Oklahoma Wedding Photographer

A few days ago - yes, I said days - I got a text from Brittney: "I need to call in a favor! I need a wedding photographer!"
Cue plans for an elopement in the Wichita Mountains a week later.
Now, look at these photos, because they're magical.

Emilie + Chris | Southwind Hills Enchanted Forest Wedding | Norman, Oklahoma Wedding Photographers

I hadn't met Emilie or Chris before their wedding day, and to say I was pleasantly surprised by this entire day would be an understatement. This wedding was not only one of the most gorgeous weddings I've attended (who could expect any less at Southwind Hills?) but it was also a friggin' blast. Weddings like these always remind me why I do what I do because at the end of the day my mouth hurts from smiling and laughing.

Pippin Hooray! | Oklahoma Wedding Photographer

Krystal and Michael were married last November on a beautiful Fall day. They wed at the Hall at the Railhouse in Norman, OK. Krystal and Michael planned an intimate ceremony and fun reception to show their appreciation to their friends and family for their support. Their ceremony included the Japanese San San Kudo ritual as well as the usual American wedding customs. Krystal's wedding gown was one of my favorites from last year. The back was so beautiful and intricate and flattered her perfectly.  The food was yummy, as it always is from Abbey Road Catering, and the cakes were delicious. Now I'm going to stop rambling and show you what you're really wanting to see: photos. ;)

Malcolm & Angelica | Norman Backyard Wedding

Malcolm & Angelica | Norman Backyard Wedding

Last July, on a warm, sunny day, Malcolm and Angelica said their "I dos" on the top of a hill at sunset in her sister's backyard surrounded by their entire family and all of their closest friends. The night ended with tacos, tequila and toasts (at least two of the best things that start with Ts) cartwheels, laughter, hugs, and tears. I couldn not think of a more perfectly planned wedding for these two. <3

Jordan and Palmer were married in August at the Manor at Coffee Creek and it was such a fun day! The company was great, the food was delicious, and the laughter was contagious.

I'm so excited to finally share this wedding with you all! Jamie & Joseph were married at the abolutely gorgeous Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The day was filled with so many smiles, tears, and joy and at the end of the day, two wonderful people were married. Elissa & Jay | Winter Creek Golf Course Wedding | Oklahoma Wedding Photographer

Elissa & Jay were wed on a beautiful day in May. Their wedding took place at the gorgeous Winter Creek Golf and Country Club in Blanchard, Oklahoma. As I was driving in, the fields were covered in wild flowers and I immediately got googly eyed.  When it came time for the ceremony, the blue sky was filled with white fluffy clouds that created an absolutely perfect backdrop for their "I dos." They danced the night away surrounded by their friends and family and became the most adorable family of three. Congratulations, Elissa & Jay!

The Grand Canadian Theater | OKCs Newest Wedding Venue Promo Shoot | Oklahoma Wedding Photographer

I am so excited to share with you guys the newest venue in the OKC Metro area: The Grand Canadian Theater in Historic Downtown Purcell. I brought together some of the best wedding vendors in Oklahoma to help with this shoot and I have to say, I think it couldn't have turned out better! Tony Foss Flowers made the amazing bouquet, boutonniere and centerpieces that were complimented beautifully by the amazing dinnerware from Vintage Tabletop Rental. Brown Egg Bakery was fabulous enough to provide our cake and Dapper Guy Bowties lent us the beautiful silk bowtie worn by our groom that accompanied the classic tux from Tuxedo Warehouse OKC. Moliere Bridal brought the most amazing blush ball gown I've ever seen designed by Justin Alexander (STILL OBSESSING) and Alumni Productions was there to film the entire shoot.

The Grand Canadian Theater was originally a movie theater in the heart of Purcell before becoming an antique shop for as long as I've been visiting there. I have a secret obsession with historical buildings so as soon as I heard it was becoming a wedding venue, I began stalking the internet for signs of it being completed. The entire venue is beyond gorgeous. It's classic with a touch of rustic and midcentury, and can be styled to fit with any bride's wedding. Contact Gisela at events@thegrandcanadiantheater.com to take a tour and book your wedding before they're all booked up! As soon as you see it, I know you'll all be sold just like I was (too bad I've already had my wedding).

Are you getting married? Send me an email and say hi to see if I'm available on your wedding date! I would love to hear from you.

Lauren & Ben | Southwind Hills Brunch Wedding | Norman Wedding Photographer

I'm so excited to share this wedding with you guys. Lauren and Ben were married on one of the first chilly days in October on a Saturday morning. Their brunch wedding was complete with mimosas, coffee, amazing food and lots of laughter - as you'll see in a minute. I'm not sure I could imagine two people more perfect for each other than these two fabulous people. They don't stop laughing when they're together and it's a pretty contagious thing. Their wedding took place at Southwind Hills Barn Venue in Goldsby, Oklahoma right outside of Norman. Shooting here is always a treat because I know that every detail will be perfect and the entire day will run smoothly thanks to the awesome coordinators. Check out a few of my favorite moments!

Jessica & Adam | Thunderbird Chapel Wedding | Norman Wedding Photographer

Jessica and Adam were married a few weeks ago on one of the first cool days of Autumn. The leaves had just started changing colors and there was a slight breeze. The sun was just setting as they said their vows and their reception was filled with close friends and family and yummy food and cute kiddos to boot. Congratulations, Jessica and Adam! I wish you both all the happiness in the world.

Tenia & Patrick | OKC Farmer's Market Wedding | Oklahoma Wedding Photographer

As soon as I met Tenia & Patrick, I knew that working with them was going to be such a blast. You can't help but have fun with these two; Tenia's smile can light up any room and Patrick's calm nature compliments her personality perfectly. Their wedding took place at the OKC Farmer's Market this September and each and every detail was perfectly executed and just as unique as they are down to the fajita flavored popcorn. The Farmer's Market is always lovely and I can never get enough of those twinkly lights: the perfect backdrop to pretty much any occasion. Tenia & Patrick, I know that your marriage is going to be a fun, fantastic adventure and I wish you both the best!
